It can happen that the Project is located very far from the ArchiCAD Origin, e.g. in case of importing a DXF/DWG File.

In order to relocate the project back to the ArchiCAD Origin follow the steps bellow:

  1. Set all the Layers to Show and Unlock.

  2. Elements locked by the Lock command in the Tools menu are to be unlocked.

  3. Check the Coordinate Box if relative coordinates are displayed, if yes switch this button off to show absolute coordinates.

  4. Double click the User Origin button in the Coordinate Box to return the origin to the Project Origin.

  5. Place a new hotspot at the project origin by typing the coordinates x=0, y=0. [For newcomers, this means: activate the Hotspot Tool and then press the following keys: X 0 Y 0 <enter> without spaces, and where <enter> is the Enter or Return key.]

  6. Click on the command Fit in window in the Display menu. The project and hotspot together with the project origin should appear in two different corners of the screen.

  7. Use the bold Marquee to frame the project so that all the stories become selected. See also in the ArchiCAD Reference Guide.

  8. Drag the project to the project origin.

  9. By using Fit in window the project will be adjusted to the screen.

  10. Go to Save as and save the project under a new name.
