Installing ArchiCAD 9 always requires administrator rights. If setup.exe is running without having administrator rights the installer will fail in different ways depending on whether the Java_Virtual_Machine was installed. The following failure scenarios are possible:
- The Java Virtual Machine was not previously installed: an error message will come up in the beginning of the second phase stating that there is no Java Virtual Machine installed.
- The Java Virtual Machine is currently installed on the computer: A different error message will come up in the second phase of the installation stating that installing ArchiCAD requires administrator rights.
Note: If the installer files are placed locally and not in a networked computer then the system itself will warn users at the beginning of the whole installation stating that administrator rights are required.
