Because the PlotMaker layouts are meant to display the AutoCAD layouts, use it to import the drawing correctly. The AC9 Translator have a Label conversion add-on, which converts the mtexts with leaders to Text and Polyline with arrow.
To get the correct appearance, check the following:
- Use the AC9 Translator.
- Do not Open, but Import the drawing.
- In the DWG-DXG Translation Setup dialog > Custom functions > Open extras > Leader >Convert Leaders to Labels check box is selected by default.
- In the Place of drawings dialog select the Append Paper Spaces to Layout Book radio button.
The leaders and texts will appear correctly.
