The materials are stored in ArchiCAD with their index numbers. It means that if an object is using the Brick-Running Bond material it refers not to the name but the Index #1. So if you load this library part into the DK template 10.tpl this object will refer to index #1 which is Trae, birk.

Our advise is, if you want to use the International library as well and don't want to mess up the library materials, and your object library (e.g. Dansk Bibliotek 10) contains less object which should be modified, do the followings:

But if you deleted some items from the int materials the new added ones will start always from the first unused index number.

If opening another project that was created with another material (attribute) set it will refer to those indexes. The attribute set is always saved with the project.

Graphisoft plans to change this method so that the attributes will be stored with their names in the future.
