AutoCAD 2007 displays an alert when opening DWG files written by ArchiCAD:
This alert is displayed when AutoCAD detects that the DWG file you are trying to open was not created by an Autodesk product, or a product that licenses Autodesk's RealDWG developer kit.
ArchiCAD uses the DWGDirect libraries to write DWG format files. DWGDirect is based on the OpenDWG Design standards, provided by Open Design Alliance . OpenDWG is based on the DWG format used in AutoCAD, and is used by : hundreds of commercial software vendors worldwide . It is continuously updated to provide as near to perfect compatibility with DWG as is possible.
