Title Type name in PlotMaker is longer than 27 characters
When a PlotMaker Layout Book is migrated into ArchiCAD 10, Title Types used in PlotMaker will be converted into parametric Title-type GDL Library Parts.
An issue arises here, namely the fact that in PlotMaker, the name of a Title Type can be up to 128 characters long.
However, names of ArchiCAD Library Objects can be up to 31 characters long (usually 27 character for the name + 1 character for the dot + 3 characters for the extension). This is resultant of a legacy issue of the Mac platform, where 31 characters was the maximum length of file names.
So, in case there is a Title Type in PlotMaker with a name longer than characters, the end of its name will be truncated to 27 characters.
With the above Title Type, the name Standard Title with Rectangular Border will be converted to Standard Title with Rectang.gsm.
In case other Title Types with the same name (e.g. coming from other Layout Books) are created in the same folder by the program, the names will be further truncated so the ‘_1’, ‘_2’ tags can be added to their names (in our example: Standard Title with Recta_1.gsm, Standard Title with Recta_2.gsm etc.)
The Drawing using the Title Type in PlotMaker will be properly assigned the converted Title Object in ArchiCAD 10.
