Edited drawing Layers are restored

This Conversion warning may appear when opening a PlotMaker Layout Book in ArchiCAD 10. It usually displays the following message:

Edited drawing Layers are restored. (3 drawings)
In PlotMaker you modified the show/hide status of drawing layers. This option does not exist in ArchiCAD, so these drawing layers will be displayed according to their original show/hide status.

The problem occurred with these drawings:
Street Elevation E1
Court Elevation E2
Street E3

In PlotMaker, it is possible to modify hide/show status of Layers of a placed Drawing, even when the source of a Drawing is live Project Hotlink. To do this, you need to choose the Custom for this Drawing radio button in the Attributes Update Rules panel of the Drawing’s Settings Dialog, and uncheck the Layers checkbox.

After this, the View Layers button of the Attributes panel of the Dialog changes to Edit Layers, and by clicking it you can enter the Layer Settings Dialog where you can change the visibility of Layers for that Drawing.

After changing the visibility of Layers, you can OK the Dialogs to make these changes effective.

When this is done, the LBK file is saved and when later this LBK file is opened in ArchiCAD 10, the above-mentioned warning will appear.
The reason for this is that in ArchiCAD 10, Layer Settings have a global effect that applies to all Model Views and all Layouts. Therefore, ArchiCAD 10 cannot reproduce the state of layers of Drawings in case they were changed from their original settings.
So, when this warning appears, check Drawings listed by the warning to see if they show the graphical information you need even with their Layers restored to their original state.

If it turns out that Drawings are not displayed with the Layer combination you intended, then you should either find the source View of the Drawing, modify its Layer Combination and update the Drawing linked to it (so it reflects this new Layer Combination and Layers need not be modified), or create a new View based on the source View, but with the desired Layer Combination, and re-link the Drawing to this newly created source View.
This step can be performed either in ArchiCAD 9/PlotMaker 9 before migrating the Layout Book to ArchiCAD 10 (in which case the warning will not appear for the updated Drawing) or you can perform it in ArchiCAD 10 after both the Layout Book and its source Project File has been migrated to this version.
